For 2 centuries this giant of a tree has given so much pleasure to so many people.

It has sequestered tons of carbon dioxide and provided shelter for all kinds of birds and insects and all free of charge.

Let’s give it a great Irish salute by voting for it now – thank you.

The Irish Times had just done a piece on it in Wednesday’s paper http://www.irishtimes.com/debate/letters/bigging-up-a-tree-1.1689147

The Grey Giant is on the ground-but we are going to give it aa new function. We are going to carve a long seat from this awesome tree this summer-will you help?
